On the voyage of the Minden Mrs Foran gave assistance to Mrs Gorman at the birth of her twins and the aftercare of the two infants. Mr & Mrs Foran were the God parents for Elizabeth Minden Gorman when the twins were baptised on the ship.
John Foran (and family) was first sent to Port Gregory He was one of the pensioners called out to assist the Civil Power twice, once when there was a mutiny in the Depot and another time to stand guard over the ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ wreck.
