Jeremiah a serving soldier is living with his wife Margaret aged 23 born Ireland and their son one year old William who was born in Chatham
Both Margaret aged 9 months and Thomas aged 3 had medical attention during the journey to Western Australia as did Mrs Woolhouse.

The town of Toodyay was originally named Newcastle and where used usually referred to the town we now call Toodyay
In 1861 Jeremiah Woolhouse, David Gailey and Darby Connors successfully petitioned the governor for compensation for New Road cutting through their allotments.
