Purchased Newcastle Lot S16 6 acres 1st December 1860 The town of Toodyay was originally named Newcastle and where used usually referred to the town we now call Toodyay In 1861 Jeremiah Woolhouse, David Gailey and Darby Connors successfully petitioned the governor for compensation for New Road cutting through their allotments.
