Thomas was wounded in the head by a splinter of a shell in the trenches before Sebastopol 7th September 1855
Discharge: Due to chronic bronchitis/pulmonary consumption
Although originally buried at the Skinner Street Cemetery the graves of Timothy Donoghue and 4 of his children together with Thomas Whelan and one child were exhumed from Skinner Street Cemetery and reinterred in a communal grave at the Fremantle Cemetery with a commemorative headstone to which Bridget Whelan’s name was added.
Headstone states O’DONOGHUE. Burial record on mcb.wa.gov.au show names of DONOHUE children Patrick, Timothy and Mary buried same grave although not stated on headstone.
