10th February 1882 Title granted
10 February 1882 Granted N. Fremantle location P58. 2 Acres Acc 473 An/158/5 Vol 34 gives the date as 20th September 1879. The description is as follows: On the EAST by 3 chains of Thompson Road, on the WEST by 3 chains of the Perth & Fremantle Road, of the NORTH & SOUTH by North Fremantle lots P57 & P59 each measuring 6 chains 68 links, all measurements more or less. The date given is 14 (24) 6. 81. In 1884 it was found that the lots numbered between 52 & 61 had been wrongly occupied so that although Michael Walsh had been assigned no 58 he had occupied number 59. The Commissioner of Titles worked out a plan, approved by the Governor, whereby they exchanged the titles to rectify the error. The cost was paid for out of the ‘Enrolled Guard Vote’.

3rd July 1884 Michael made his will leaving all his household furniture together with his allotment and cottage on P59 to his wife Ann with the proviso that if his family of 2 boys and 2 girls approve it could be sold, one half going to Ann and the other half divided between them. (He ignored his son John who was intellectually and physically handicapped).
21st April 1886 After Michael death Ann advertised the sale of North Fremantle P95 (sic) in the Government Gazette and she went to live in a cottage at the rear of the Fremantle prison until on the evening of 7th January 1888 it was destroyed by fire leaving Ann and her dependent sons John, Joseph and Patrick without a home. Eventually with the help of the Resident Magistrate she was given lodgings in the Barracks at Fremantle for herself, John and Patrick until she entered the Women’s Home
