Discharge due to lameness caused by amputation of his second toe left foot.
During the voyage of the Clara Mrs Stretch was ordered off the poop for beating her child with a closed hand she was also cautioned for the use of bad language and disobeying orders when she was one of the four women who refused to go below when the decks were being cleanedCharles Stretch was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital twice in 1867. The first time on 9th April 1867 he said he was age 44, a SINGLE man, Protestant, abode Port Adelaide, labourer born Wiltshire England and had arrive in the colony 2 years previous on the Clara.
The second time on 8th June 1867 he gave the same information except he had been in the Colony for 2 years and 3 months. He still said he was a single man.
