Further Information | The Surgeon Superintendent of the Merchantman rated James Slavin’s conduct as Indifferent as he had his liquor stopped twice and spent two days in a cell for disobedience and using bad language. Mrs Slavin was rated Good except for one occasion. James and Catherine were accompanied by their children Mary, James and John who died at sea 25th October 1862 age 15 months. |
