Further InformationIn the 1851 Census Thomas Ryder (Rider) and his family are living with his father-in-law William Jarvis and his wife Elizabeth at Charleton in Devon. Thomas, age 34 was at the time a fisherman, born Stokenham Devon, his wife Margaret was aged 35 and had been born at Charleton.
The children were Samuel born Charleton and, Emma and Adda (sic) both born Stokenham. . A Philip Rider age 29 is also a lodger at the same address.
