Discharge due to pneumonia and haemoptysis and general disability. Evidence of former wound to left arm received in action Gwalior 1857 (not certified).
There are sundry accounts of both Mary and William being charged with being drunk.
1881 Mary Russell widow of William Russell requested grant of land previously resumed by the Crown from her husband for failure to make improvements 19th November 1876 – refused.
