Further Information In 1847 thirty married Chelsea Pensioners went to the Falkland Island with thirty kit houses to form a permanent garrison and Police force, however in 1857 Mark and Mary Ring together with another 6 of the remaining pensioners returned to the UK at the Government’s expense.
