The Police records show that life was far from well in the Redmond household when on 20 November 1869 SUSANAH REDMOND, pensioner’s wife charged PATRICK REDMOND, her husband a pensioner on the enrolled force with violently assaulting her on the 17th inst,. Bound over to keep the peace for 6 months himself the sum of £10 and 2 sureties in the sum of £5 each or in default 6 months imprisonment. And again on 29 April 1870. PATRICK REDMOND, pensioner, was summonsed by his wife for neglecting to support her, ordered to pay 5 pence per day.
