1841 Census Jeremiah Murphy is with his regiment at the Infantry Barracks Lanark, Scotland, he is aged 30 and was born in Ireland
1851 Census Jeremiah Murphy is living with his wife at the home of Daniel Daley at 2 Barn Cottages, ferry Road Poplar, London Middlesex. Jeremiah is aged 40, a married man working as a labourer, born Kerry Ireland his wife is only identified by the initial A. She is age 21 and was born Cork, Ireland. He is not identified as being a pensioner.
An Agnes Murphy departed 1st November 1855 on the VIVID for South Australia who may be Jeremiah’s wife.
There is no indication of why his pension was so high (1/3) as his rank is given as ‘private’ and he served less than 20 years, perhaps his injuries were severe
