In the 1861 Census of St. Helier Channel Islands Jane Moren (sic) formerly HOOD is living with her daughter Eliza Jane HOOD age 6. Jane is age 34, married and working as a charwoman, she was born in Ireland. Eliza Jane , a scholar, is age 6 and was born in Gibraltar (a British subject) They are living at Cottage, 11, Columbus Street, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands.
In 1868 Terrence charged Michael Fagan (Fegan HEIC Hougoumont) with the rape of his step-daughter Eliza Jane Hood age thirteen for which he was committed for trial. Eliza Jane married Henry Gwynne in 1872 at Fremantle.
