Further Information	Unfit for service due to pulmonary consumption the result of wounds and exposure while on active service in the Crimea and while a prisoner in Russia. Received violent blows on the chest with the butt end of a musket on the 22 March 1855 during a sortie made by the enemy at Sebastopol. Suffered consequently from acute pneumonia which terminated in tubercular deposit in the lungs. This disease must materially interfere with his earning a livelihood. In the 1861 Census the child of William Reuben and Anna Locke is listed as William R however George Locke said he was born in 1861 at Aldershot so it looks like it is the same child could be an enumerator’s error. Possibly purchased Fremantle Suburban Lot 28 of 5 acres
