SROWA has four articles about Margaret and her children seeking relief
In 1881 Margaret Hearns applied for relief as she stated the death of her husband had left her and her four children destitute. She said she is totally blind. One of her sons helped support the family but he was recently drowned at sea. Her eldest daughter was in hospital and the others were not in good health. She again wrote in 1895, 1899 and 1900.
