Her surname was Bathoone when she married Gaunt at Dinapore in 1846.

William is living with his wife Anne and 2 children Jane (4) and Frederick (3) and his step daughter Mary Joyce (15)
Mrs Gaunt was the midwife at the birth of John Gorman’s twins on board the Minden. If it had not been for her expertise in breach births Mrs Gorman and probably the second child would have died.
1st March 1864 Mrs Gaunt applied to be employed as the midwife for the Poor house. Approved and to be paid at fifteen shilling for each case.
