ADM27/52/31 Year of Allotment 1837 ship Pelorus Folios 73-74 shows Edward FOWLER providing payment to wife Louisa.
In the 1841 census Louisa Fowler is living at Military Row, Portsea Island, Hampshire. She is aged 30 a marine’s wife born in the county.
From the births and deaths registered of children of Edward and Louisa Fowler at Jamaica it appears that Louisa was one of the forty wives of marines at the West Indies station at Jamaica who were allowed to accompany their husbands.

The National Archives of Australia on his record of transfer entry (1867) his place of birth is also Kidderminster, he also has 1 child above the age of 14. It also records his parents as being Samuel and Betsy. Also records medal for service in China and 4 Good Conduct badges.
