Discharge: At own request having served upward of 21 years.
In the 1861 Census Patrick Fogarty is with his regiment at Nether Hallan Sheffield. He is age 37, unmarried, a private in the 58th regiment , born Miltown Dublin Ireland.
On 2 April 1867. PATRICK FOGERTY, pensioner charged with being drunk and exposing his person in the public street. Cautioned and discharged.
A newspaper report of the death of a man from a poisoned hand in the Kimberley area gave his name as John Fogarty.
