Claimed prize money (Batta) for time in India granted to the 94th regiment – deemed ineligible.
Discharged on account of contraction of the middle, ring and little finger of his right hand as a result of contusion sustained 26 May 1861 when assisting in working the ship ‘Star of the North.’
The Surgeon Superintendent of the Merchantman gave John Fennessey a rating of Very Good having no offences against his name for the voyage. He was a single man at the time.
