British Army Worldwide Index
1841 James Fallon 1002 Sergeant 54th Foot location Dover and Weedon
Discharge due to chronic rheumatism and shortness of breath, general pains.

Although the 20th regiment does not appear in the muster rolls for New South Wales the regiment must have spent time there for them to be aboard the Royal Charlotte enroute to India, alternately they may have been the guard on the Royal Charlotte when she sailed with convicts to New South Wales. James Fallon would have lost his possessions when he was ship wrecked and would account for the brief entry in ‘Overseas service.’
In 1864 James Fallon nominated his niece Margaret Fallon aged 30 as a Government Immigrant; she was living at 18 Hendrick Street in Dublin at the time.
When Catherine made her will on 10th December 1894 she named Thomas Minorgan as the Executor and William Topping and Thomas Campbell were the witnesses. The estate was valued at £497 and most of that was the value of £400 for the house and land. Y120 must have been subdivided at some time as the acreage was 1 rood 20 perches.
