Discharge: Due to being severely wounded by gunshot which fractured the bones in his right arm during the final attack on the Redan 8th September 1855.
In 1880 he was living in No 1 Barracks Fremantle with his wife and 6 children.
John Doyle served on the Enrolled Force from its inception of 11 November 1880 until it was disbanded on 31 March 1887.
The gravesite at Fremantle Cemetery consists of a granite surround with DOYLE as a name plate, there is no headstone
