After the arrival of the Scindian at Fremantle Captain Henderson wrote a report listing the rank name, trade or calling, rate of pension, date of enlistment for 5 months service, marital status, and number of children for each pensioner. Sometimes the trade of calling differed from that recorded at the time of attestation:
Private Henry Davey, stone mason, £4/12/0, 21st January, married 1 child
1859 Census of York WA: Henry Davey was living with his wife Jane and children Mary, Thomas, Henry, Susannah and Emma. Henry and Jane were both born Somerset where they were also married. All the children were born at York Western Australia and their religion was Church of England. Henry is working as a brick layer and has 4 acres of hay and 2 pigs and 1 cow.
One daughter never married but it could have been either Sarah Jane of Emma
