Further Information | William Campbell was drowned at Freshwater Bay when he went to the assistance of William Sydenham who also drowned. On 12th March 1852 the Comptroller General was authorised to pay the widow of Pensioner Campbell fourteen shillings from the wages due to William Sydenham from his employment with J. Herbert of Perth. ( ref: SROWA Cons 488/30 Letter 270 page 1016) |
