Further InformationIn the 1851 Census John and Mary are living at No 7 Griffiths Building at Salford, Manchester. Mary’s sister Agnes is also visiting them and living at the same address is James and Margaret Bryce who appear to be Mary’s brother and his wife and family.
17 July 1854 together with Richard Connelly and John Kairey John Campbell wrote to the Colonial Secretary regarding their cottages being without doors and windows for some time making them damp. (SROWA CSR Cons 36 Volume 303/107)
In a newspaper article Norman talks about visiting his brother in Colombo, Ceylon who was a master at the Royal College. The Outward Passengers Victoria has a Mr Campbell, age 24, leaving Melbourne on the Ship Bombay on 26 October 1862 for Ceylon.
