In the 1891 Census of Sydney City Eugene Brennan was living at 49 Clarence Lane Sydney West with 4 other family members

From the obituary for his son William in 1885 it appears Edward worked for the New South Wales Railways as an engine driver and his sons William and Arthur Lewis followed his example: Arthur as a clerk.
