Grapeshot wound of the right foot in action at Chillianwallah 13 January 1849. The ball having penetrated among the metatarsal bones on the outer side of the foot, extensive inflammation and suppuration among the muscles and tendons both on the upper and the sole of the foot ensured and has resulted in adhesions among the muscles and tendons of the bones restricting the proper motions of the foot and ankle.
Invalided 4 September 1849 returned to England 7 February 1850.
