Proceedings of a Court of Inquiry into complaints by the wives of the Pension Guard on the “Stag” into conduct of Superintendent Surgeon CALDWELL. Mrs ARNOLD gave evidence at the trial.
When Thomas Arnold left the Colony he was required to repay the passage money of £10/17/3. This money was overpaid by 11/3 (eleven Shillings and 3 pence) which was refunded to him and his pension was paid from December 1857 in South Australia.
Thomas Arnold was admitted to the (Royal) Adelaide hospital on 5th September 1865. At the time he was 51 years of age, a widower, religion Protestant, abode Yorkes Peninsula (sic), born Sutton Colefield (sic) England and had arrived on the Stag to Swan [River], he died on 8th September 1865
