Discharge: At own request after 21 years’ service
The Surgeon Superintendent of the Merchantman reported Mrs Anderson’s conduct was ‘good on the whole but a virago’ conduct of the children was good. Francis received medical treatment during the voyage, and rated a Very Good from the Surgeon Superintendent despite the following charges: 4th December 1862 Private Anderson neglecting to clear the mess table and was deprived of liquor for 2 days, 24th December he was absent from drawing rations and lost his liquor for 7 days
26 July 1865 Pensioner Francis Anderson was charged with having 5 live fowls in his possession supposed to have been stolen from Dr. Attfield. ANDERSON denied the charge stating he was working in another Pensioners home making boots, which the other pensioner endorsed. The RM dismissed the case; Anderson had been on the Force for 2 years and bears a good character for honesty. 28 August 1865.
