In the 1851 Census of England J. Dutton is an unmarried man age 35 a gunner with the Royal Artillery, born Chester England at the Plymouth Citadel St. Andrews, Plymouth, Devon, England
Between their arrival in 1868 and Joseph’s death Mary and Joseph Dutton were charged repeatedly with being drunk and using threatening and obscene language towards the police and other members of the public.
Mr Joseph Dutton and Mr Joseph Dutton junior were aboard the ‘Annie Agnes’ when it left Fremantle for Champion Bay.
