| Further Information | British Army, Worldwide Index 1841 William Fuller 355 Private location Halifax, Nova Scotia Discharge due to rheumatism and dyspnoea William Fuller was found lying beside a road near Moppa (SA) in a state of helpless exhaustion. He was taken to Kapunda in a wagon and although able to drink a little tea and talk during the journey he died shortly after the arrival in Kapunda. An inquest was held into his death and the cause of death was given as by “natural causes, death having been accelerated by want of food and exposure to cold. Amongst his possessions which consisted of a knife, pipe, some cotton, thimble, one penny token, and a piece of paper with some writing but no name anywhere: also a blanket, billy can, with some tea but no food.” After the inquest two tradesman’s passbooks were found in his swag which identified him as William Fuller.
