Further InformationIn the 1851 Census HO 107/1681/515 David aged 35 an agricultural labourer and Chelsea pensioner is recorded as Daniel. He is living with his wife Margaret and his widowed mother Martha at Ellisfield Hampshire.
It appears that his wife Margaret suffered from stricture of the oesophagus in 1853 and was in need of an operation. (Warders and Gaolers)
There is no record for the death or burial of Margaret Blunden but she was a victim of an assault in November 1853.
Catherine Blunden died in the Perth Female Home on 26th November 1898 aged 64 years where she had lived for 18 years.
