Further Information | 1841 British Army World Wide Index shows Philip with 89th in West Indies and Canada 1851 British Army World Wide Index shows Philip with 89th in Dublin Ireland Discharge: At own request having completed 21 years’ service 15th February 1865 – Application to purchase Perth Suburban Lot 150 of 5 acres – at £2 per acre – forfeited 21-7-1865 – failed to pay although in 1874 as he was selling up prior to leaving the colony Philip Walker advertised this lot for sale with a 2 roomed cottage, well and firewood on a 4 acre 2 rood plot. Again in 1875 prior to leaving the colony Philip Walker advertised for sale his property H50 located between Hay and Murray streets (near George Street). The property consisted of a 4 roomed cottage, store rooms, cow house, and piggery. The area of was trenched and fenced and planted with vines and fruit trees with a reliable source of water and commanding views of the city, Swan river and Darling range. Sons William Henry and Robert Thomas were both alive in 1900 aged 39 and 34 respectively according to mother Mary Ann’s Death Certificate |
