| Further Information | Private Murren received a wound at Goodasepore on 12 July 1857 while on duty after the mutineers of 46th Native Infantry. The musket ball struck the leg at an oblique direction fracturing the tibia into a great number of pieces. The wound is still discharging and pieces of bone occasionally come away – his health has suffered in consequence together with long confinement- not aggravated by vice or intemperance invalided to England In his “Certificate to Transfer pension” from Sydney to Melbourne dated 25th June 1868 it said he was age 35, married and appears to have children both above the age of 14 and under the age of 14.
