Further Information | In the 1861 Census William Munie (sic), age 38 a wharf labourer, born Ireland is living at 15 Smith Place, St. George in the East, London Middlesex with his wife Catherine, age 38, born Middlesex London together with [step]sons James Kingston, 13, Charles Kingston, 9, Henry Kingston, 6, and Francis Kingston, 4, all born Middlesex London. Of the nine Kingston children it appears only Thomas George, Charles, Henry and Francis John came to Western Australia on the York, Mary Ann Thompson came at a later date. On the 10th July 1865 Catherine MUIR the wife of pensioner MUIR applied for her daughter Mary Anne THOMPSON to be a Government Immigrant. Mary Anne was aged 21, a widow, and living at No 2 Lower Clapham Street, Commercial Rd, East London. The referee was Thomas LOUNEY surgeon of 10 Pratt Street, Lambeth, London. Subsequently Mary Anne Thompson married Henry Wells Young at Perth 1867, their son Frederick William was born in 1871 and was buried in the Catholic cemetery Skinner Street on 30th December 1871. Henry Wells Young died by suicide 19th July 1873 age 43 and was buried in the Church of England cemetery Skinner Street Fremantle on 21st July 1873. |
