28th May 1850 the War office queried the Staff officer Dublin as to whether Christopher Markey was a fit person to be part of the guard. However there was insufficient time to arrange a substitute but the SO Dublin was told he was not to approve anyone who had been discharged with an irregular character.
July 1860 Imprisoned for 6 years for stealing a horse was discharged from sentence after 2 years
