Further InformationDaniel Collins survived the shipwreck of the “Lord William Bentinck” on 17 June 1840 while entering Bombay Harbour
26th May 1863 during the voyage of the Clyde Daniel Collins was reported for being late for his watch and of insolence, put in prison for 24 hours on Bread and water. The Surgeon Superintendent stated Daniel Collins had been reported 4 or five times during the voyage for a variety of charges ranging from having dirty accoutrements to being late on watch and insolence.
