Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1841 Location West Indies and Canada 1851 Location Dublin Discharge: At own request having served 21 years Patrick Meer was working at Rottnest in 1866 when he gave evidence at the trial of William Vincent in January 1866 for aggravated assault on an aboriginal. 1 May 1876 Patrick Meer, 89th, had erected his 2 roomed cottage of bricks and mortar requested payment of £15. List of men suitable for the Enrolled Guard 1880: Patrick MEER of the 89th Regiment at age 61 was said to be “smart, active and sober.” Appointed 11th November 1880 and served until the guard was disbanded. |
