Further Information | 24th February 1850 Mrs Hannah Stevens received medical treatment aboard the Scindian Discharge due to disease of the liver After the arrival of the Scindian at Fremantle Captain Henderson wrote a report listing the rank name, trade or calling, rate of pension, date of enlistment for 5 months service, marital status, and number of children for each pensioner. Sometimes the trade of calling differed from that recorded at the time of attestation: Private James Stevens, brick layers labourer, 1/-, 31st January, married York Census 1859 for James Stevens aged 60 RC arrived Scindian born St Giles married St Giles his wife Johanna age 52 RC can read and write also born St Giles. After the death of James Joanna Stevens (nee Riley) married Thomas Rowson at York in 1867 |
