Further Information | Service in 36th was prior to his enlistment in the 95th regiment and was not added to his length of service. No reason given for its termination. Discharge: Due to amputation of middle finger of left hand after a shell fragments shattered the phalanges particularly the first phalange, while in the trenches before Sebastopol. According to the death notice of daughter Mary Malloy Catherine McGown was the niece of John McHale Archbishop of Tuan. Catherine was detained in the asylum from before 1872 until her death in 1906. |
