After the arrival of the Scindian at Fremantle Captain Henderson wrote a report listing the rank name, trade or calling, rate of pension, date of enlistment for 5 months service, marital status, and number of children for each pensioner. Sometimes the trade of calling differed from that recorded at the time of attestation:
Private Peter Murphy, teacher, 6d, 17th January, married 3 children
In 1853 Peter Murphy along with Andrew Gordon and John Kirwan present a petition regarding the legal rights of the pensioners to their allotments
1859 dismissed from Enrolled Force for a misdemeanour.
Admitted to Chelsea Hospital England 1st May 1871 said his wife was dead and his 3 sons were provided for, claimed to have spent 10 years in the local company at Swan River
17th June 1873 dismissed for drunkenness
Admitted to Kilmainham Hospital Ireland 1st September 1874. Last record found is dated 20th August 1877.
