| Further Information | Discharge due to a gunshot wound to the right leg received in action against the rebels at Point au Pelee Island Upper Canada 3rd March 1838. After the arrival of the Scindian at Fremantle Captain Henderson wrote a report listing the rank name, trade or calling, rate of pension, date of enlistment for 5 months service, marital status, and number of children for each pensioner. Sometimes the trade of calling differed from that recorded at the time of attestation: Private William Hubble, labourer and groom, 6d, 21st January, single In 1850 William Hubble was one of the Scindian men assigned 5 acres of land at South Perth. Unfortunately due to the remote location of the land the settlement was doomed to failure and all the land was resumed.
