Further InformationIn 1853 his wife Catherine Ward signed a letter of thanks to the Surgeon Superintendent of the Robert Small, Dr Morris.
18th January 1866  Fremantle Police Occurrence Books shows a John WARD, a pensioner, who left the Colony this day on the Fitzroy reported at 8am that a pilot coat had been stolen from him at the house of Ed. Handley sometime during the night.
