Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1841 Private John Ward 1749 location Zante Ionian Islands 1851 Private John Ward 1769(sic) location Halifax Nova Scotia Discharge due to chronic pleurisy affecting the left side of the chest contracted at Cape Breton. John Ward was under medical treatment for phthisis by the doctor from 11th June 1853 during the voyage of the Robert Small to the end of the voyage when was sent to the hospital. His daughter Margaret age 6 months was treated for diarrhoea on 11th June 1853.
