Further Informationn the 1851 Census Sergeant William Urquhart is living with his family at Sandown Castle Kent. Wife Rachel age 32 was born Newfoundland as was son Duncan age 10. Son Alexander age 5 was born Woolwich, Kent, daughter Mary aged 4 was born Ireland and 10 month old Catherine was born at Deal in Kent.
Discharge due to accidental fracture of the patella of the left knee.
William Urquhart served on the Enrolled Pensioner Force until 1874 when he was discharged on arrival of the draft from England.
WO97 has comment “Convicted in Police Court Fremantle 10th July 1877 of theft. One month in prison. Half pension to be suspended and other half paid to wife.
