Further Information‘Served throughout the campaign in 1842 in Affghanistan (sic) for which he received a medal. Also served in the campaign 1845/6 on the Sutlej and wears a medal and two clasps for the action of Moodkee, Ferozeshah and Sobraon.’

10th February 1853 John Robinson age 14 months was successfully treated for diarrhoea, however he died 2nd April 1853 (from hydrocephalus ?) the surgeon remarking he was an unhealthy child ailing the whole time of the passage
