1851 in the Census of England, Wales and Scotland it appears John O’Conner (sic) may have been married as a John O’Conner, age 32, married, born Askeaton Limerick, was resident at the Infantry Barracks, St. John’s Glasgow. However we have found no marriage or any indication he had a wife accompany him to Western Australia. No wife is recorded on the passenger list for the Elbana to Melbourne, Victoria.
It is evident he had strong ties to Tasmania.

1856 Died from Morbus Cordis (Heart Disease)
