Discharge: Due to Asthma, impaired vision and worn out from length of service.
On 9th January 1883 Patrick O’Byrne, Military pensioner, made his will appointing his eldest son Patrick as executor. He bequeathed half of the estate to his son Patrick and the custody of his “several small children doing their respective minorities” the other half to be divided equally between his sons Francis O’Byrne and James O’Byrne.
