Discharge: At own request having served 21 years.
On the 11th November 1871 The Herald reported Mrs McGill, wife of a pensioner, was knocked down by a horse when she was attending the races at Newcastle, fortunately no long term damage was done.
NAA holds letter dated 3rd March 1874 from Victorian Pension payments requesting pension be transferred to Sligo Ireland 3rd May 1874.
No children accompanied them on the return to the UK.
