1851 Thomas Donough 3128 Private 50th Foot location Ashton under Lyne
Discharge due to a wound of the right foot incurred at Inkerman
1861 Census Thomas Donalds (sic) age 33, pensioner, born Ireland is living at 49B High Street Preston with his wife Mary age 34, a cotton winder born Preston Lancashire and their two daughters Mary age 3 and Margaret Ann age 2 both born Preston Lancashire. Also living with the family is Mary Ann Donalds a widow age 65 born Ireland; she is recorded as a house keeper. (Donalds is a transcript error the name is recorded as McDonahue)
The Surgeon Superintendent of the Merchantman considered the conduct of Thomas Donough and his wife and family as Very Good although Thomas had his liquor allowance stopped as of a result of ‘having correspondence and trafficking with a Convict by taking a bad sovereign to get change’.
Thomas was accompanied by his wife and children Mary, Margaret and Patrick.
Mrs McDonough received medical treatment during the voyage.
