Further Information1841 Census Charles McCulloch is living at Crossley, Houston Renfrewshire with his parents James (b 1804) and Agnes(b1809) and siblings Agnes (b1827), Catherine (b 1832)and Mary (b 1840) All are born Ireland except for Mary who was born Renfrewshire Scotland
Discharge : Loss of forefinger of left hand sustained in the trenches by the explosion of a shell- Sebastopol.
The Surgeon Superintendent considered his conduct on the Merchantman was Indifferent. Charged with being drunk when on sentry duty gangway and making use of bad language on the Quarter deck
